Shovel Knight is a platform game in development by
independent developer Yacht Club Games for the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and
personal computer platforms. The game is expected to be released on
March 31, 2014. Shovel Knight is being directed by
former WayForward Technologies member Sean Velasco, and will include
music composed by Jake Kaufman and Manami Matsumae.
The plot of Shovel Knight focuses on the character’s quest “to defeat the evil Enchantress and save his lost beloved.” In order to do so, Shovel Knight must fight the eight members of “The Order of No Quarter,” who have been dispatched by the Enchantress to impede him.
